Moncton, NB, January 19, 2004 -- Moncton Flight
College (MFC), one of Canada’s oldest and most established flight schools, started training pilots in 1929. That’s when they were known as the Moncton Aero Club with two privately owned planes. The school has grown over seven decades of flying. Today, with 21 planes (including 6 Diamond Eclipses) and a recent government investment towards the expansion, building and equipment of the college, Moncton is strategically set for even greater growth! These improvements will allow the college to offer a higher level of training - positioning it as the only flight college in Canada to meet European flight training certification – while maximizing its potential for greater growth, new markets and furthering its reputation as an internationally recognized flight school. A lot of activity will need to be tracked and managed! In keeping with their proactive and visionary approach, the college chose GenAv Systems, the pacesetter for general aviation booking systems, to keep them on their foward course!
Moncton Flight College recognized GenAv’s Flight Office (GFO) system, a total solution package for flights schools and charter operators, as their missing management “computer partner!” The college has been busily preparing for its GFO implementation and expects to have the system fully operational this month. GFO will facilitate efficient implementation and oversight of all aspects of Moncton’s training programs. The software manages data associated with scheduling, maintenance, accounting, pilot shop sales, and internet access for students, instructors, and managers. System customization is easily achieved; and, components are integrated, permitting the sharing of information between system users. This results in one-time data entries – one of many GFO time saving features. GFO options result in less operational delays, less paper usage, greater analytical tools to assess numerous business operations, and greater employee and customer satisfaction. GFO also increases safety by systematically and transparently checking pilot medical data, date/type last flown and aircraft flight restrictions. GFO goes where other systems stop!
Stephane Way, President of GenAv Systems states, “GFO compliments Moncton’s infrastructure upgrades and reflects their leading edge training. A progressive training facility such as Moncton has no use for yesterday’s cumbersome and time intensive tracking/management systems. Those antiquated systems result in lost time and lost dollars. Flight schools and charter operations using GFO are enjoying more efficient, dynamic and high tech operations. GFO is a natural fit with Moncton – we’re both committed to meeting tomorrow’s aviation challenges.”
