1. Does GFO completely replace our booking sheets ?

Yes, GFO Scheduling is basically an electronic booking sheet. Students/pilots phone numbers (or any other information) are easily accessed by double-clicking the booking. GFO is also real-time, bookings made (or deleted) from one PC (or the internet) will immediately be propagated to all workstations. We also offer ProBook OnLine (the internet component of GFO) which allows users (students, members or instructors) to view and make (or delete) bookings over the internet, all in real-time.

2. How flexible is GFO ? Can I customize the booking system  to our school requirements ?

GFO is incredibly flexible. Booking sheet hours & dates, time slot resolution (15 mins, 30 or 1 hour), contents (instructor&aircraft), booking options (solo, private training, IFR training etc.), booking protocol (if booking requests over the internet are restricted or not), equipment and services etc...

3. Do I need a LAN network on-site to run GFO ?

No you can install both GFO Server and WorkStation on the same PC. If you do however have a LAN network you can take advantage of GFO's real-time capabilities (ie. ability to make (or delete) bookings from any PC within your establishment).

4. What are the system requirements for GFO ?

GFO requires at least a Pentium class processor with 32 MB RAM minimum. Hard disk requirements are minimal (ie. less than 20MB).

5. What happens if our computer crashes would we lose all our bookings ?

GFO Server has a built-in auto-backup feature that will backup all it's data files on a daily basis to any drive or folder you specify.

6. Does GFO Scheduling keep a record of all bookings ?

Yes, flights or training sessions from the past can be viewed, printed or edited easily.

7. Is there a way to keep track of who made (or deleted) a booking ? and when was it done ?

Yes, GFO has an Activity Log that keeps track of who, when and where (over the internet or on-site) bookings are made or deleted.

8. Can I print old-fashioned booking sheets ?

Yes, GFO Scheduling has the ability to print a visual printout of your bookings.

9. Can we print flight/training times for students, instructors or aircraft ?

10. How about statistics ?

GenAv Flight Office has a number of useful statistics for school managers such as resource utilization (instructor/aircraft) etc.
